09 2019 Bitterness revenge and resiliency

Counsellors and pastors are challenged by people declaring their bitterness and the need for revenge together, especially in our South African context, where people have “the urge to fight back” and “set the record straight”.

In this workshop, the metaphor of a tree planted next to living waters will be placed in contrast to the limiting belief in a just world. Bitterness and revenge are explained as destructive coping strategies, which can be mitigated with resiliency and wisdom.

This workshop is being redeveloped.
