This workshop aims to assist managers in understanding the core areas of supporting people in distress and victims, within the paradigms of management and working with children and other members of the community. This awareness will allow them to identify crises; traumatic experiences and the aftermath of trauma from a manager’s perspective. After the session, the manager will have an expanded understanding of how and when to refer people to the best available professional to assist the person in need.
The manager’s perspective is diverse, because he/she has to fulfil a managerial function, negotiating care support for traumatized people with various policies, procedures, and labour legislation and adhering to the needs of employees and the community.
By offering appropriate victim support the manager will be able to concentrate on management tasks and educational roles and responsibilities while making a substantive difference which will allow job satisfaction and improved self-care.
This workshop is being redeveloped.
