In this workshop, we deal with the core areas of supporting and counselling children in distress and assisting parents in dealing with traumatized children in the community. This awareness will allow them to identify possible dangerous situations involving children, such as crises; traumatic experiences and the aftermath of trauma. After the session, the participant will have an expanded understanding of how and when to refer children to the best available professional to assist the person in need.
By offering appropriate child-friendly support and counselling the participant will be able to concentrate on life tasks, making a substantive difference which will allow job satisfaction and improved self-care.
This workshop is being redeveloped.
